About the GATE Exam

🎓 What is GATE?

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level competitive exam that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and post-graduate level subjects in Arts, Commerce, and Science.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

• Currently in the 3rd year or higher of any undergraduate degree program.
• Completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts.
• There is no age limit to appear for the GATE exam.

🧾 Exam Details

• Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Duration: 3 hours
• Sections: General Aptitude (GA) + Candidate's Selected Subject.
• Question Types: Multiple Choice (MCQ), Multiple Select (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT).

🧮 Marking Scheme

🧭 Opportunities After GATE

• PSU Recruitment: Direct recruitment into Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like IOCL, ONGC, NTPC, etc.
• Study Abroad: Admission to some foreign universities in Germany, Singapore, and other countries.
